Teeny Tears is a service organization that provides tiny flannel bereavement diapers to hospitals and bereavement support organizations. These are provided at no charge to families that have suffered the loss of a preemie or micro-preemie child through stillbirth or NICU loss. Because: “A person’s a person, no matter how small.” ~
A special customer of ours got involved with her daughter in the Teeny Tears service organization after the death her grandson Carter, born at 25 weeks. He was 2 lbs and they had nothing to fit him because he was so tiny. They would have loved something as simple as a tiny diaper to dress him in, and began creating these diapers can bring comfort to other grieving families facing the death of a child.
If you would like to help out, you can do so by: 1) Donating flannel through Tangled Threads (note: novelty fabric is acceptable). 2) Downloading instructions/patterns and sewing tiny diapers (http://www.teenytears.blogspot.com/) Please feel free to contact Tangled Threads or email email@example.com Thank you so much to those of you who have already donated fabric. Sharylann and Thelma are always shocked about how many of the little Teeny Diapers are needed for little babies that will never leave the hospital to go home. 200 little diapers are a minimum shipment sent off to hospitals. The little local group has made thousands.
